Courage doesn’t just arise from nowhere. We have to nurture it and create the conditions for it to grow.

We chose the name of our business with great intention. Naming ourselves Courageous Change Collective is an aspiration for our communities and a calling for us to fulfill. We continue to live into our name. At this time where courage is needed more than ever - we are reminding ourselves that this is what we are made for!

All three of us feel that courage has been a part of our ancestral inheritance. We come from courageous peoples who faced hardships and uncertainty and emerged resilient. In our lives,  we’ve been doing our part to contribute to this ongoing story.

We are intentionally cultivating our own courage by:

  • Reaching for healing from fear and trauma - ours and our ancestors - so that we can stay grounded in our capacity to face this moment.

  • Remembering we are not alone - building community spaces to support and encourage us through all stages - the ups and the downs.

  • Learning from history - peoples and communities across the world have lived through significant political and societal changes - they have lessons to share that we can apply today.

  • Refusing to surrender our joy - we are more powerful when we are joyful, when we protect our dreamspace - we get to claim happiness, we deserve sweetness and beauty.

We encourage you to appreciate the ways that your courage is showing up - and to continue to nurture your courage. We are in it with you - remember that you are one of many choosing courage in this moment.
